A CLASSIC holiday Wedding at one of Denver's Historic venues


The Wellshire Event Center is one of our favorite wedding locations. In addition to its historic vibe, it's one of those venues that looks amazing year-round. We had the pleasure of photographing Jenna & Chris's winter wedding here most recently.


One of the benefits of booking a wedding during the holidays is that many venues have decorated for the occasion, which can ease your decor budget. We love how Jenna and Chris integrated their wedding colors with the venue decor. It added a classic elegance to every detail of the day.


December weddings in Colorado can be hit or miss. This day was sunny but still quite cold outside. Shorter daylight hours and cold weather meant we only had time for a few outdoor photos before the ceremony, but we loved the ones we could capture.


The ceremony took place in the event center chapel, a fairly intimate space ideal for smaller weddings. An epic oboe and guitar duet set the tone by playing some tunes before the ceremony. We particularly loved that they were rocking a cover of Britney Spears' Hit Me Baby One More Time as guests arrived.


The cocktail hour was filled with laughs, the toasts were a fun blend of loving and roast-worthy, and the whole vibe was love all around. We couldn't ask for a better way to celebrate Jenna and Chris!
